CARE INSTRUCTIONS

INDOOR FABRICS

REMOVING MARKS & STAINS

  1. For stains like mud or tomato sauce, remove any residue with the edge of the teaspoon or a flat utensil.
  2. Apply water to the stain and blot/dab using a white paper towel. Do not use a circular motion as it will rip your paper towel and drive the fibres from it into your fabric.
  3. Repeat the process until you can’t see the stain on the paper towel anymore.
  4. Apply more water to the area and rub with gentle movements with a microfibre cloth.
  5. Use soap for stubborn stains. Any white bar of soap or a bar of Sunlight green soap will do, whatever you have in the house. Now you can use a circular motion. Rub the soap and the dampen with water and blot. Keep repeating the process until the stain is gone.
  6. Leave the surface to airdry, do not use a hairdryer.

WASHING SLIPCOVERS & SCATTERS

Slipcovers:

  1. When washing your slipcovers and scatter covers in a washing machine, make sure to use a cold wash setting.
  2. Set your machine to a “light spin”.
  3. Once you have removed your covers from the machine, leave them to drip out excess water but do not let them dry out completely.
  4. When the slipcovers have stopped dripping and have dried slightly you may fit them back onto your sofa. Damp slipcovers will stretch more easily to be placed back on your sofa. If left to dry completely they will be very difficult fit.

Scatter Cushions Covers:

  1. When washing your slipcovers and scatter covers in a washing machine, make sure to use a cold wash setting.
  2. Set your machine to a “light spin”.
  3. Allow to dry

WOOD

OUTDOOR WOOD - TEAK & IROKO

  1. First moisten the furniture with water.
  2. Apply TEAK CLEANER with a soft cloth or sponge. Allow to soak for 3 minutes.
  3. Brush the furniture clean with a scrubbing pad in the direction of the grain.
  4. Rinse furniture well with water.
  5. For prolonged colour, leave the furniture to dry and treat with TEAK PROTECTOR.
  6. For new teak, first clean with TEAK CLEANER to remove some of the natural teak oils. Or weather for 2 weeks outside before treatment.
  7. Before using the TEAKSHIELD on aged teak, clean the wood with TEAK CLEANER first. If the cleaned wood feels rough, sand lightly before treating with TEAKSHIELD.
  8. Make sure the teak is 100% dry and free of dust.
  9. Apply a thin layer of TEAKSHIELD with a soft cloth.
  10. Allow to dry for 4 hours and then apply a second thin coat of TEAKSHIELD. Let the teak dry for 48 hours before exposure to moisture.
  11. It is recommended that you treat your teak furniture with TEAKSHIELD a few times per year.
